That Delightful Dish Called Curry!
Friends:
I hope that everyone has been enjoying our "YouTube" videos on how to cook or prepare CURRY, how to make ROTI, and how to cultivate a taste for those oh-so-tasty Caribbean dishes! Please continue to enjoy both the videos and the dishes offered, and please invite your relatives and friends to share in the experience. Also, why not try making some chicken-curry-and roti, or some Jamaican-style curry-goat tonight!
Today, I'd like to bring to your attention a very useful book by Camellia Panjabi called "50 Great Curries Of India." This paperback edition was released in February 2006, and has received rave reviews from readers, each of whom has given it "five-stars."
I gathered information about this book from websites such as Barnes&Noble.com and Amazon.com, but please feel free to check it out anywhere on the web!
However, here are some excerpts from fan-reviews provided by enthusiastic readers:

Great Excerpt From: Caribbean American Foods.com
When it comes to food, each island has its own culinary specialty, influenced by the myriad of diverse cultures that are the fabric of the region.
On Jamaica, home of the Jerk method of cooking, everything from chicken, fish and pork is served Jerk style--hot and spicy.
In Trinidad, Roti, baked dough filled with curried meats and vegetables is a favorite.
In Barbados, delicious flying fish can be fried or steamed.
On the French island of Guadeloupe, where cooking is a passion as evidenced in the Annual Festival of Women Cooks, accras(cod fritters), and crabes farcis(stuffed crab backs) are among the most popular dishes.

To all who love and who have a taste for the Caribbean
This blog will help us eat and enjoy those Caribbean Dishes which we love so very much!
We will carry information about how to order Caribbean Dishes for your weddings, parties and other celebrations.
We hope to be able to provide such information by neighborhood, village, city, and state, so that no matter where you're having that party or jumpup, you'd be able to get your favorite Caribbean dishes...yes, prepared by authentic Caribbean chefs.
So, if you are really good at preparing Caribbean food, get on the blog and let us know who you are and what you are good at. And be sure to tell us how much 10 PURI will cost or curry-goat for say, 12 or more. Mauby, sorrel, ginger-beer, five-finger drink, etc., etc., etc. will all sell well, we think! Also, provide an email address (or a telephone number) and perhaps you will get some valuable orders!
And above all, it will cost nothing for you to get involved in this tasty marketing initiative.
Let's make it happen.
Much more, later!
